Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you have a distributor in my area?
    Nope, because we don't have distributors. We are able to offer a great product at an affordable price because we sell direct with no distributor markup. We ship straight to your jobsite or other location, anywhere in the United States or Canada.
  • How do I get a quote or place an order?
    We sell directly to general contractors, commercial builders, and franchisees. A quote is the first step, then payment. Please send us a message from the Contact Us page to get started.
  • I have a quote and need to pay to get my order started. What are your payment options?
    When you are ready to proceed with your order, you have a few options for payment. Note that a purchase order or contract is not sufficient to reserve material and schedule production. Credit card- Please click to Make-A-Payment in the main menu. Be sure to use the credit card total from your quote, as it includes the additional 3.5% fee. Check- If you want to avoid that fee, you can cut a check. Please email me a copy as quickly as possible, so I may reserve material for your order, as availability is limited at times. The check should then be promptly mailed to: Identity Wood Products PO Box 220 Ball Ground, GA 30107 Wire transfer- If you’d like to pay via wire, we can provide routing and account details. ACH- Please send any forms that you require to be completed in order to send payment via ACH.
  • What lead time can I expect?
    Like many in our industry, we are experiencing supply chain disruptions that have extended the lead time on some of our products, while others can ship in the usual 4-5 weeks. (Custom painting to our quality standards takes a bit.) Please reach out to us for updated lead time information on the product you're interested in.
  • How do I do a takeoff of your siding and trim?
  • Am I required to use your aluminum trim?
    Nope. We feel like our trim makes installation simpler and creates a more finished look. But, if it's not in your budget or doesn't fit your vision, our siding can be installed without it. Your installer would just need to miter the corners, in most cases.
  • How is your Signature siding installed?
  • Do you offer installation?
    We do not offer installation, but our products are simple to install. You'll find install guides in the Resources section of the page for each of our siding products. We're here to answer any questions you might have.
  • What caulk do you recommend for butt joint and nail heads?
    We recommend DAP SideWinder or Sashco Big Stretch. Both come in a variety of colors that coordinate well with our siding options. Most Dark Browns work for our Pretzel, Dark Walnut, and Chocolate colors. Cedar is best for Light Cedar, Cedar, and Dark Cedar. Depending on the shade, it may also work for Extra Crispy, as will Light Brown or Tan. Clear is best for Chili Pepper. Avoid any product that does not meet or exceed ASTM C920 standards.
